The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equal examinations planned for 12 May have been moved to 20 May because of a daylong hartal called by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, reports news office UNB.

Mahbubur Rahman, director of Dhaka Education Board, said the exams will start from 9:00am rather than 10:00am while the second move exams will start from 2:30pm on the day.  Prior on Tuesday night, Jamaat-e-Islami called a 24-hour countrywide hartal for Thursday challenging at the execution of its ameer Matiur Rahman Nizami.
